Where would we be without a dad’s love? Dads are the ones who bought us the cookies when mom said no. Who taught us how to fish and check the oil in our cars. Who showed up at every band concert/dance recital/sporting event with a video camera permanently attached to their head. Who picked us up when we didn’t think we could get up. I am so grateful for the dad, father-in-law and granddads in my life…they have been role models, heroes and friends.

Here’s a peek into the Father’s Day Feast we hosted last night! With the use of some adorable FREE printables I got from Amanda’s Parties To Go and an entire menu made from recipes I found on Pinterest…I’d say it was a success!fathers-day-event-planningfathers-day-cakefathers-day-free-printablesfathers-day-coke-labelfathers-day-soda-bucketfathers-day-free-printable-partyfathers-day-place-settingfathers-day-menufathers-day-drinksfathers-day-sodafathers-day-blue-cake

And here’s a snapshot of the actual feast (sorry for the crappy pic, I literally snapped it with my phone seconds before the food was devoured…)fathers-day-feast

Here are links to the recipes I tried, all found on Pinterest! I’d say they were all a big hit!

Crispy Cheddar Chicken

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Maple Glazed Carrots

“The” Bread (it’s really that awesome to call it that)

I followed all these recipes pretty much exactly, with the exception of the chicken – to make it extra juicy, I marinated it in a buttermilk and minced garlic mixture for about 8 hours in the fridge..delish!

So here’s to the dads who have laughed with us, cried with us and loved us as an earthly version of our Heavenly Father. In the dad category, I sure hit the jackpot.Cargill (865 of 1020)fathers-day-tie-decor
